Who we are.

Why we do what we do.

Hi, I’m Blake, the founder of Landloop.

I am a Landscape Architect and Graphic Designer who fuses artistry, technical expertise, and environmental consciousness. I stand for creating resilient landscapes that nurture the well-being of both people and the environment. Driven by an unwavering commitment to principles such as biodiversity and sustainability, I aspire to forge a transformative path for Australia’s urban landscapes to make a lasting positive impact on our world.

As a child, I marvelled at the transformative power of landscapes. I was aware that I liked being outside, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on why some places influenced my mood more than others.

It was during a brief period of work experience as a Landscape Architect in high school that I realised these feelings could be intentionally designed, and this solidified my life’s direction to date. Over the years, I have immersed myself in the intricacies of landscape architectural practice, studying visual representation, consultation, construction, ecological science, and horticulture, and have grasped the essence of what makes a landscape enchanting.

Landscape design should transcend mere ornamentation, and draw inspiration from nature's inherent beauty through an understanding of natural systems. I reject the notion that significant intervention is always necessary to achieve this. Nature, given the right conditions, possesses an astonishing ability to flourish on its own accord.

Landloop is my endeavour to educate the public about these conditions and inspire people to view the environment with a renewed perspective of awe and admiration. With the aim of influencing a more sustainable future for all of us, I use my illustrations to communicate what I learn as I continue my career as an environmental professional. I firmly believe that anyone can improve their lives and act as better stewards of the environment if given the right knowledge and inspiration. By empowering individuals with practical tools and fostering a deeper connection with nature, we can collectively create a ripple effect of positive change.

I genuinely appreciate your time in taking the time to learn a little about me, and thank you for your interest in the environment.

Take care,

Blake
